Double Solitaire
Tricks and Strategies

Double Solitaire is a pretty straightforward game. However, there are a few strategies which can give you an edge in playing.

Always keep an eye on the card your opponent has just played in the play area and quickly scan your playable cards to see if there is one which is now playable.

Occasionally scan your opponent's columns and stack to see what is coming up that might help you out.

You should usually play cards as soon as possible. It doesn't typically buy you much to hold back on playing.

If you have a choice of moving a card from the stack or from another column, if there are any hidden cards on the column you should generally move from the column instead of from the stack.

If you have a choice of moving a card from a column with a lot of hidden cards versus one with a few hidden cards, chose the one with the most hidden cards.

You can move cards from one column to another. For instance, if you have the 6 of diamonds as the top card of a column, but want to play the 6 of hearts which happens to be in another column, but covered by some other cards, move the black 5 from the 6 of hearts column to the 6 of diamonds column and then play the 6 of hearts.

If you are playing with the mouse, take a look at the keyboard shortcuts. They can significantly speed your playing.
